Family Breaks St Andrews

St Andrews Country Cabins and Farmhouse B&B is the ideal setting for a rural family break. The eco lodges (each sleep 6), which sit proudly on a hillside overlooking St Andrews bay, provide the opportunity for parents to enjoy the comfort of eco-living accommodation with all the benefits of countryside pursuits that are on offer at our family farm, Cuplahills.

The children will never be bored with so much space to play. The play fort with slide, swings and push me pull you and the family basket swing offers entertainment just a few yards from your door.

The two community woodlands provide the chance to explore nature, go for family walks and to pick the bountiful forest fruits through the late summer and autumn months. Time your winter break to coincide with the snow and you can enjoy sledging on the steepest fields around!

There are miles of farm tracks and woodland paths  that link directly with the Fife Cycle routes, making family excursions by foot or by bike accessible to the whole family. Choose a short local route around the farm and village of Balmullo or push yourself and join one of the Cycle routes that lead to Tentsmuir Forest and Beach or the wonderful cathedral town of St. Andrews.

Children will take great delight in meeting the ponies at the farm livery, visiting the sheep and perhaps collecting the eggs from the hens.

Located just 5 miles from St Andrews and 8 miles from Dundee, Cuplahills Farm provides a great location from which to explore the sandy beaches of the East Neuk, play golf on the numerous  golf courses around St Andrews, enjoy the many cultural and historical attractions or pursue the more energetic activities on offer. More details can be seen by visiting our Things To Do page.

The eco lodges have a master bedroom with en-suite where the parents can enjoy their privacy, two twin rooms for the children to seek their independence and large open plan living room/kitchen/diner that leads onto spacious decking. Here the family can relax and enjoy the stunning views whilst enjoying a home cooked meal made on the range cooker in the spacious kitchen.

Alternatively at Cuplahills Farmhouse B&B we have double and family rooms available with en-suite facilities where you can relax for a few nights in front of the log burning stove knowing that in the morning a fine Scottish Farmhouse breakfast awaits you.
